Every story is complete.
Each novel introduces the people, conflict and context it needs, reaches its own ending and can be somebody's first Continuing Press book.
The Continuing
The stories can connect deeply without becoming homework. Start with whichever book interests you. If you stay, the world remembers.

There is no mandatory Book One. Chronology exists inside the world, but publication order is not a gate you have to pass through.
Returning readers may recognise names, scars, institutions, places, technologies, marks and consequences. Those echoes can become substantial without making another novel required reading.
Familiar faces
Some characters may return as a cameo. Others may become important again years or books later. A person who was somebody else's supporting character may eventually carry a story of their own.
The rule stays the same: the book in your hands tells you what you need to know about who that person is now. Knowing their earlier history adds recognition and emotional weight, not an entrance exam.
Shared history
A railway can become folklore. A bureaucratic office can leave fingerprints on a port hundreds of miles away. An old symbol can appear in two stories before anyone understands why. A political decision can become background history for people who never met the people who made it.
The opening shelf
Continuing Press is being built as a long-running catalogue. New protagonists, new regions and new kinds of fantasy story can keep entering the same world for years to come.

Watch the world expand
New stories, covers, samples and connections will be announced through the reader list. If the idea of recognising a name years later sounds fun, this is the place to start.
